NEXCO is pleased to present this comprehensive one-day seminar on classifying inorganic and organic chemicals in Chapters 28 and 29 of the U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS). The seminar will provide guidance for chemical classification, definitions of various chemistry terms necessary for classification, discussion of drugs and medicaments in Chapter 30, and the Pharmaceutical Appendix.  It will also briefly discuss classification of polymers in primary form and the recent HTS changes.

JoAnne Colonnello – Director of The Pharmaceuticals, Health & Chemicals Center

Director Colonnello currently serves as the Center Director for the Center of Excellence and Expertise for the Pharmaceuticals, Health and Chemicals (PHC) with U.S Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Ms. Colonnello’s previous experience includes serving as the Assistant Port Director for the Trade Operations Division in the Port of New York/Newark. In this capacity, Ms. Colonnello has managed one of the largest trade divisions in the country.
